The Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) is dedicated to helping children and their families by providing the right services and solutions based on individual needs. CFCE is constantly evolving to better support our community.

As an Administrative Assistant you will be responsible for office management. Perform a variety of clerical and administrative duties necessary for the efficient running of the department, including all of CINS/FINS/SNAP program(s).

Some of the Functions Include:
  • Provide linkage and network services for and on behalf of clients and their families.
  • Maintain consistent and accurate documentation, and prepare appropriate billing.
  • Have proficiency in various computer software.
  • Manage office, typing, filing, scheduling and coordination of meetings.
  • Familiarity with cognitive behavior modification; structured groups and parent education groups
  • Community/Agency liaison
  • Provide clerical assistance with CINS/FINS, DVRESPITE and SNAP
Minimum Education/Requirements:
  • High School diploma with at least one (1) year of secretarial training.
  • Type 40-45 words per minute.
  • Certifications for CPR, OSHA, First Aid.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and make independent judgments and decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, including presentation skills.
  • Access to a well-maintained vehicle, valid auto insurance, and a current valid Driver’s License

Skills Needed
  • Have proficient usage of computer, calculator, fax machine, telephone and copy machine.
  • Handle multiple tasks; maintain effective interpersonal relationships; ability to work independently; interface appropriately with the public;
  • Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Attend meetings, take, transcribe and distribute minutes; maintain official records; prepare monthly reports;
  • Maintain adequate office supplies and perform other miscellaneous clerical duties.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Exhibit appropriate professional and courteous behavior towards colleagues, clients, families and the community at large.
  • Maintain a positive relationship with peers and superiors.
  • Maintain appropriate and open interdepartmental communications.
