The Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) is dedicated to help children and their families by providing the right services and solutions based on individual needs.  CFCE is constantly evolving to better support our community.

The PEAK Program (Promoting Education, Achievement, and Knowledge) Math tutor will support students and families through academic enrichment, mentoring, and skill-building opportunities. The primary goal of the tutor is to strengthen educational outcomes while fostering confidence, resilience, and community connection.  This is a part-time position, after-school hours, which require flexibility.

 Some of the Functions Include:
  • Provide math tutoring to students;
  • Assist students with homework, test preparation, and foundational math concepts;
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and needs;
  • Encourage positive learning behaviors and academic confidence;
  • Collaborate with PEAK staff, families, and other staff as needed;
  • Maintain attendance records and brief progress notes;
Minimum Education/Experience
  • Strong proficiency in Math (college students, education majors, and recent graduates encouraged to apply)
  • Experience working with children or youth in an educational or community setting preferred
  • Ability to explain math concepts clearly and patiently
  • Reliable, organized, and committed to student success
  • Background check required
Skills Needed
  • Ability to compile data, complete reports and maintain appropriate documentation
  • Ability to work with employees at all levels and other agency/organizations
  • Positive attitude
  • Ability to provide advocacy, linkage, and network services for and on behalf of clients and their families
  • Consistent and accurate documentation and appropriate billing
