The Center for Family and Child Enrichment (CFCE) is dedicated to help children and their families by providing the right services and solutions based on individual needs.  CFCE is constantly evolving to better support our community.

As a Parenting Specialist, you will adhere to the curriculums designed to ensure successful outcomes, including administering all pre, post and other performance measures for all participants.

 Some of the Functions Include:

  • Ensure all pre, posttests and assessments are administered to all participants
  • Facilitate group sessions according to program curriculum
  • Ensure all reports are completed, as required
  • Remain positive and engaging during sessions, ensuring that all participants are encouraged to participate
  • Be prepared and have a working knowledge of the information before the sessions start
  • Ensure the material designed for sessions are fully executed, while maintaining the interest of all the participants

Minimum Education/Experience

  • Bachelors in social Work or equivalent experience in the field
  • Experienced in group facilitation
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in behavioral health services
  • Experience in policy areas related to healthcare, community health, and human services

Skills needed

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong listening and speaking skills to counsel participants in a clear and understandable manner
  • Strong planning skills
  • Strong analytical skills to assess the effectiveness of instructional strategies
  • Ability to establish positive relationships with people from various cultural and ethnic backgrounds
  • Strong attention to detail
